Anesthesiologist – Locum Tenens | 2026 Start | No Supervision

A reputable hospital system in Iowa is seeking Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Anesthesiologists for 2026 locum tenens assignments. This opportunity offers a full range of general cases with no CRNA supervision required. The facility provides a collaborative environment across multiple procedural settings with minimal or no call expectations.

Assignment Details:

• Start Date: 2026
• Schedule: Most likely 5x8s; 4x10s not guaranteed
• Call: Minimal to none – most physicians will not take call
• Credentialing Timeframe:
• ~4 weeks for candidates with IA license or IMLC
• Practice Locations:
• 13 ORs (Main Hospital)
• 5 Endoscopy Suites
• 2 ASCs (10 miles from main facility)

Clinical Details:

• Case Types:
• All types of general/bread-and-butter anesthesia
• Very limited heads and hearts
• ~700 trauma cases/year – mostly blunt force or agricultural accidents
• Minimal infant/young peds – mostly tubes, tonsils, orthopedic or appendectomies for older children
• Annual Case Volume: ~1,200 cases/month
• EMR: Epic
• Supervision: No CRNAs, no supervision required
